I was under the impression that a number of people had done this conversion. The only change in the B pillar that I was aware of was that the rectangular holes for the squareback "hinges" were dropped, as were the reinforcements around those holes. One of my '71s came with the holes, but not the reinforcements. I can't remember all the details of how fasty popouts are fastened in place, but there's a clip or 2 and a couple of hidden screws. I could imagine that on a fasty it might well be easy, amounting to just a couple of small drilled holes. What else changed? -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
