<x-flowed>The speedo cable is on the FRONT wheels? How bizarre! Most cars I have worked on have that on the trans. counting driveshaft revolutions...having it on the wheel guarantees inaccuracy while making a corner....

That's the speedometer cable.  ;-)

Glad to hear that your mushrooms are in good shape. I MIGHT have some
rear stops but no fronts.
