What Brian mentioned is good. Also be careful about pumping too much
fuel, it's easy to flood when the chokes are closed.
Two minutes is actually quite a long time to be cranking -- are you sure
it takes that long (rather than *seems* to take that long)?
There is no reason for anything like this amount of trouble at temps
above 0F if your motor is adjusted to spec and everything's working
right. Check cold valve lash and timing first.
