I remember seeing some special paint that was for this application. I think I saw it in hemmings motor news. As far as masking-I would think you could get regular masking tape, cover the area you want to paint, then with a x-acto type knife, and a metal straight edge-cut out the tape where you want the paint to go. It's one of those things on my list...but pretty low on it. -kevin '71 sqbk '65 kombi somerville, ma -----Original Message----- From: Jim Adney [mailto:jadney@vwtype3.org] Subject: Re: [T3] Electric/Mechanical Brake Switch On 7 Oct 2005 at 10:38, Russ Wolfe wrote: > On Fri, 2005-10-07 at 06:25, Dave Hall wrote: > > > I think I have a few of Jane's old relay's Is there a kind of masking/striping tape that one can use to do narrow pinstripes? I'm thinking about something where you lay down a tape and then peel up a center section leaving a thin open strip which will let you paint a pinstripe. I wonder if one could do a good repair this way. Where would one look for striping tape like this? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
