Any ideas Note that it's best to use a suitable subject when starting a new thread. The most common cause of wipers too slow is loss of lubrication where the shafts come out of the body, just in front of the windshield. If you can see the bushing trying to twist with the shaft, then you know that you have this problem. If you remove the wiper arms you may be able to drip some oil where the shaft emerges from the bushing. Otherwise, the best thing to do is to take everything apart and pack some grease in there. The motor is probably NOT the problem, but if it is, I have a couple of good used '71 motors here. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
