The main power relay is under the back seat, screwed to the inside of the top rail of the kick panel behind the driver's side. There are 2 relays there, this is the larger one. The voltage regulator is much larger and is all the way to the left side, kind of on top of the inside of the rocker panel. The fuel pump relay is screwed to the firewall, just up and left of where the steering column passes thru. It is exactly the same part as the main power relay. The first thing you should do to check them is to get in the car and turn the key ON. You should hear a relay click and then a second click about 1 second later. Between these 2 clicks you, or someone listening for you next to the RF tire, should hear the fuel pump whirr. You can turn the key OFF and back ON as many times as you like to repeat this test. If you hear both clicks, then both relays are working, at least somewhat. Let us know what you hear, then we can take it from there. And remind me of what your symptoms are. . -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
