[T3] fuel pump did the trick (was vapor lock)

<x-flowed>Hi All,

I went out and bought a new T3 Brosol pump ($23) and noticed the second I pulled it out of the box that the spring(s) on my old one were shot to hell: I could operate the action with my pinky! I actually thought the new one might be defective/stuck since it took so much more relative pressure to actuate. In any case, I put the new pump in, got the engine as hot as I could (around 190) killed the engine and let it sit for 15 min, and then started it up. Although it did take more turnovers than when cold to catch and started up a tad rough, once I gave it a rev it returned to normal idle and I was able to drive away with no problem whatsoever.

So, the immobilizing vapor lock problem is gone, but is it normal to have to turn a hot motor over a few more times than cold? If it isn't I think I'll still try to locate/blow out a blockage in the metal chassis tube, which is the only conceivable place one could still be. If this is normal (due to some normal vaporization of the fuel in the lines/pump), I'll be on my merry way to the in-laws for Turnkey day! I mean, turkey day... ;)

A big THANKS to all who responded!!!
