It is mounted on the block, and I believe it is the Brazilian stamped out
ones (the "newer" one as pictured in Haynes, where they show
the top and bottom pieces separated to remove the filter, but don't
explain how to actually get the top section off). I haven't checked that
filter in eons... maybe 10 years... but I've always had an in-line
filter. SInce they are relatively inexpensive, should I try a new fuel
pump? Thanks!
