>I was under the impression this was a >hot-start problem. Did I miss something? Don't know what a "hot start" problem is---do you mean that it only happens when the engine is hot? So far, she has failed to start up for me both hot (twice) and cold (once). She started up last night, cold, after I did the diagnostic tests. It's making me think there's a loose wire somewhere, or possibly there was either air or water in the tank and it's been farted out? I may stop by Kragen today and buy a bottle of the stuff that takes water out. I'm suspicious, because I've had this problem before, many years ago. Oddly enough, each time it's happened has been when I've switched to a different gas from Chevron. When I went down to Morgan Hill (about 70 miles) I had to get gas and couldn't find a Chevron, so I stopped at a 76. I usually never let the tank go below ¸, but it was down to about a ¹ before I could find a station. I filled up and then when I got to Morgan hill and turned off the engine, she wouldn't restart. The engine did NOT seem overly hot, and it wasn't a hot day. In fact, she ran great all the way down there, often doing 65-70 effortlessly. Same thing on the way back. I'm really suspecting a gas problem. She just doesn't seem to eat anything but Chevron. People tell me it's not possible, but I've seen it happen quite a few times. BTW, next month is our (The B & I) 10 year anniversary :^) -~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~ "I wrestled with reality for 36 years, and I'm happy to say that I finally won out over it." ---Elwood P.
