[T3] car won't start

ok, i tried the spark thing, and got great sparks.  In fact, the car
almost started!  Then I reattached the wires and the car did start!
WHAT is going on?  I checked the battery and it looked clean with good
connections.  All the relay terminals were tight.  I was also able to
look under the car and see that the connections to the fuel pump were
OK.
