Re: [T3] Thermostats

<x-flowed>SteveJ=> Where would it be and what does it open?

At the risk of seeming pedantic, you have three thermostats: two (left and right) to regulate the cabin heat system, and one to run the warmup flaps on the engine.

The warmup flaps are closed when cold, and they block the flow of cooling air, to help the motor warm up faster, opening as it comes up to temp. They are housed in the tin just forward of the fan housing, and the thermostat is bolted to the right side of the case above the cylinders. The thermo, linkage and even flaps are often missing these days. The flaps are sprung to stay open on any failure.
