[T3] Type 34 mystery drains

Your reference to this page reminded me that I had been meaning to bring up the 
mystery drains shown in your photo:

I just wanted to register my guess that these drains were an early version of 
water drains for the fresh air plenum that brings air in the louvers in front 
of the windshield. I assume your type 34 has those louvers, but does it also 
have the 2 rubber hoses that run down the center under the dash? 

My GUESS is that your type 34 does not have the usual center drain hoses, and 
that the drains were on the outside as shown in your photo, at least during  
some part of type 34 production.
