Yes, you have a computer. It's under the LR fender and you can see it thru the louvers. You get to it from the inside of the car, where there's an access plate. There's nothing about this problem that would make me want to open that up, unless you had the Bosch tester which would hook to the FI wiring harness to check all the OTHER components. Anything's possible, but a bad computer is VERY unlikely, especially since all 4 of your cylinders seem to be okay at high speed. If you can't figure it out, would you want to make another trip up to Madison? We could probably fix it here together in very little time. All we would need would be a few hours of decent weather. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
