I just pulled the shift rod out the front of my 63 Notch and found a little metal ring on it but no bushing. I'll get a bushing tomorrow and I'm wondering how I should go about replacing it properly. After cleaning and greasing the rod do I just slide the bushing on and stick it all back in the tunnel? Are there any tricks or tips I should know about here?
