Just push the 5/16" hose onto the stump where you removed the 
screw. I don't bother with any kind of clamp for this temporary 
connection.

When you are done you may need a new sealing washer for under 
the screw head. The original Alum washer will probably crumble. I 
replace them with nylon washers.
