Half-way thru a 70 mi drive, my generator light came on. I finished the drive and then checked my belt. It looked okay, but lately it has been squealing at startup. Bently says clean the brush first, so I did clean only the top brush and the light went out. My question is: how should the warning lights behave. Here's what mine do: Motor off. turn key, OIL and GEN light up. start car, OIL and GEN go out. turn off car, GEN lights up for a second, then goes out.
