Re: [T3] question about bogy to pan sea

<x-flowed>Agreed. Besides, bolting a body to a pan with a seal between them will be more than enough to keep water out! From my personal experience I know the seal works -- put my baby in a water-filled ditch, 25+ years of daily use, and floated the car across a deep puddle...

The factory felt the seal was enough. Just make sure the two halves are clean and or painted, level, flat and you should be fine. I would hate to be the one 40 years from now pulling the pan off a car that has sealer on both sides!

...did the factory feel that the rubber seal alone was sufficient to keep water out? Thanks.
