Open and close them occasionally. Don't just leave them alone for 10 years at a time. Keep the rubber bleed valve caps on them; they keep water from running down the inside and rusting from the inside out. (I've never broken off a bleed valve that still had it's cap on it.) Silicone brake fluid might help. A little silicone grease couldn't hurt. Don't use normal petroleum greases or oils on hydraulic brake parts. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
