My friend who works at the mercedes dealership was talking about a line of cars they have called maybach. It's what people buy if a mercedes isn't good enough and they pass the background check. I think he said the alternator was rated at around 500amps and is plumbed into the liquid cooling system. Apparently mercedes is also looking into(if they aren't already) using 24 and 48volt electical sytems just to cut back on the wire sizes. With copper spaggetti everywhere it starts to add up.
