Just the same, I was completely (although pleasantly) shocked
at what a good paint cleaner and a good wax did to my car's paint
job. The finish of the notch on thesamba looks to me to be a lot
closer to my "before" pictures, which look very blah and neutral to
me, too. My car went from this...

Interestingly, Savanna Beige is the color of the featured
Beetle sedan in most of the 1969 U.S. promotional literature.
Apparently a color of choice for the marketers of the time.
Of course, Jim, I suppose that you remember what they looked
like when they were new, when they probably looked their best. ;) I
also recognize that different folks simply like different colors.
