'69 head temp sensor is by the exhaust port, and can be reached fairly
easily. '70 and newer is under the tin by #4 cylinder. A cheap deep
socket (6 point preferable) and cut a slot in it is the best solution
for the later ones.
That is why Snap-On made one back in the '70's.
