[T3] Missing cooling tin!

<x-flowed>I'm under the engine of Lightsider looking up. Just checking out what's going on under there. Replaced the cheese head screws w/stainless steel hex head bolts. I notice that the cooling flaps are in the up position which is good since the "engine rebuilder" failed to install the engine cooling thermostat. Then I notice, hey!, I can see the flaps and I shouldn't be able to because there's SUPPOSED to be cooling tin there!!!

Yup, the "engine rebuilder" didn't install the cooling tin pieces that fit on the bottom between the fan housing and cylinder jug! So along with a cold start valve and my tow hitch I also got the two pieces of tin. Once the Jetta gets out of the shop I'll install the cooling tin pieces.

Probably explains why the left valve cover was reading 220¼F while the right side read 164¼F. I'm guessing that since the left side is running hot I'm not getting the proper amount of fuel for the FI (head temp sensor), right or wrong?
