I agree too, but its local for us so postage is much less, and
I can get 10% off for being on t3uk.org.uk list, which helps.

And if you're paying someone else to do the welding, the quality
of the pressings -> less rework -> lower labour costs, and the
labour costs were way higher than the parts. And if he had to make
the parts, that would have been even worse.
