We could have been discussing the fact that some '66 t-3's had the
o'ring flywheel, like the 12V would have in '67. My '66 fastback does.
It uses the later style crank.
If you want to go to the 12V you will need to open up the bellhousing to
accept the bigger diameter flywheel. And, if you use a manual trans
starter, you will need the adapter starter bushing.

I would use the automatic starter as it doesnt require the bushing, and
you could convert back at any time. It also has slightly more
horsepower.
