<x-flowed>I've seen one other Sqbk with this color combination locally. He had it at one of the local hod rod shows for sale for $16000 about 5 years or more ago. He is someone who has extensive contacts worldwide, finds unusual VWs, restores/updates them and sells them for huge dollars. He is very closed about his sources and won't do anything to help anyone else, but he does immaculate work (at least visibly), don't know about anything internal mechanically.
Because of his contacts, I wasn't sure if what he had was original or one of his creations. If I recall correctly, he even had a red rubber mat in the back in great shape. I knew this one on Samba wasn't his as he had bumber overriders as well as other accessories to boost the price.
A very cool car to see in person, I have a few pitcures buried away somewhere, I think.
