You know, I drive a lot of gravel roads, and because of a rust hole in
the rear inner fender well, my engine sucked some gravel into the fan.
You might have gotten something into the fan housing. If so, You might
consider yourself lucky, as the engine is OK.
You just need to get whatever it is out of the fan housing.
