Yes you need the 411/412 squareback part. It is comonly called the "funnel". It bolts to the type4 fan shroud and a bellows similar to the type3's connects it to the body. Interesting to me that the o/d of the funnel is quite a bit smaller than the type 3 boot. I've heard the type4 boot will bolt up to the type3 body. Right now I have the funnel and typ3 boot. My plan is to fill in the space between until I can find a good type4 bellows. These parts are hard to find. Parting out type4's are probably the best source. I believe Ray Greenwood a regular on the shoptalkforums mentioned that he was working on producing a replacement type4 bellows.
