Or do you remove your generator *that* often? The ring lug IS the better connector; that's why VW abandoned this spade after a couple of years. The problem is in making a good crimp connection to the wire. You need to start with a GOOD ring lug, with plenty of beef to it, and use a good crimper, which probably none of us own. So you would really have to solder it in the end to be sure of getting a solid, lasting crimp. Poorly done crimp connections are the bane of any electrical system. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
