Hello, I just came across an nos type 3 passenger side rear view mirror amongst a bunch of parts I aquired some time ago. The 69 Fastback I recently picked up, only came with the driver side mirror. I once read that you could install a passenger side mirror on a "bug" that did'nt come with one by drilling a hole in the same location on the passenger side door and that there was already a threaded nut under the door skin from the factory. I was just wondering if anyone knows if this would also hold true for the type 3's as well, as i would like to use the mirror if possible.
