Hmmm. That is interesting. I will probably end up going with a later column, unless the kid who is interested in buying the fasty, does so first. One advantage of switching to the later column is that it would come with the collapsable steering shaft. That was a safety item introduced in '68 which could make a big difference if you happened to be in a bad head-on accident. It's possible that this later shaft could even be installed in an earlier column.
