The US-spec cars had different tail light housings and lenses. On my 
'74 there are red running lights pointing to the side inside the 
turnsignal housing part. Something I found *awfully* nice to look at, 
but the German tech inspector made me take out the bulbs, those aren't 
legal here. Same for those beautiful yellow running lights in the turn 
signal housings up front :/
