I know first hand why. Way back in the early 80s I was telling one of my co-workers that the Dasher is actually called the Passat everywhere else. He said what? Piss at!, and he couldn't stop laughing for 5 mins. Hisham 70 sq 74 412
I owned one of the first '74 Dashers sold in the Des Moines area. The drive train was an Audi Fox. Which replace the Audi S90. I traded an S90 for the Dasher.
