Once you think you've got everything installed, you should watch it as you depress the lever. The dogleg should pivot in the lever allowing the dogleg and cable to remain straight thru the full travel of the pedal. If the dogleg hangs up at some point and stops pivoting, then the cable will have to flex at the end of the dogleg. This will eventually break it. If there's any interference, you should remove the dogleg and smooth out whatever is causing the problem. All my cables are 30+ years old. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
