If only the inner screw has been adjusted, you may get it back to the correct
setting with an exhaust gas analyser - adjust for about 0.5% CO.  If both of the
concentric screws have moved, I doubt you'll hit on the right combination for
all rpm.

When you say bunged up, they were supplied with epoxy sealant (later with a cap
that is very hard to remove).
