[T3] Other distributor ideas/thoughts [was distributor 009]

<x-flowed>Here's another idea.  What about taking the guts out of a later model, 
watercooled distributor, say from an mid to late 80's A2 Golf/Jetta, and 
adapting it to the aircooled distributor housing.  If the parts would 
fit, you would end up with a vacuum/mechanical advance electronic 
distributor (no points to fiddle with).  I'll have to get my hands on an 
A2 Golf/Jetta 8v distributor and see what is what.
