The one disadvantage of those late nuts is that you are only supposed to torque
them to a lesser torque. I prefer to use the higher torque and Loctite.

Now I remember what I got confused: The little O-rings are inside the crancase, you need to slip them onto the bolts before you mated the two halves :)


It's true that the plastic sleeve nuts were torqued to a specific lower torque, but I haven't seen any problems due to the lower torque.
