I had long been under the impression that a TSB (or whatever the
equivalent was at the time) had been issued regarding potential
overheating issues, hence the retrofit. Didn't realize it was more
preception than reality. I guess I stand corrected. Again. :)

That said, I would think there was some inefficiency in having the vents
pointing the "wrong way," though I guess our resident aerodynamicist
could chime in.
