So, on nights where I don't feel like braving the cold of my garage, I've been working a little on changing out the paddings on my seats. The interior was redone around 1985 at am upholstery shop, and the workmanship done there was quite good. The covers are still serviceable, though not terribly pretty. That said, the foam is utterly tired and not cushiony anymore, and the rear seats still have the original sisal, which has deteriorated to the consistency of shredded wheat. That said, I've found one broken spring in my driver's seat- specifically the left front. I remember my first fasty had this same spring broken. This spring seems to get a lot of abuse from the driver exiting or entering the vehicle. It looks to be a bit of a pain to swap out, and what would I swap it out with?
