<x-flowed>Upper left of pic. Super early ones have a smaller inlet off the HE. Russ's 64 HE are the larger type from his 64 ghia. The ones show although look the same as later ones are indeed the smaller type. The extra fresh air hose is a late 65 early 66 thing if I recall.

Early heat exchangers did not have that relief valve in the heater
box.

Nice photo, Russ. Could you also show us a photo of a matching mixer box? Or are they just valve boxes; did the early type 3 heater system have the extra fresh air tubes?
