Nothing will cloud up the winter sky's faster than a solar powered charger :) Seriously.... what your looking for is about 30Ma of current into the battery and most solar cells will do that, but im not sure if it will be as good having that current all over the lot or not at all at night. If interested I could pop the cover off one of my AC ones and put together a parts list. The only thing that I may not have a direct source for is the transformer but I donât recall its anything special. Anyone using a solar panel to maintain a battery? Or to even charge a battery? This is a route I would really like to take as I have two small batteries (jet ski and motorcycle) and sometimes a car battery that need a maintenance charge on them during the off-season. What should I look for? Wattage/amperage minimum/maximum? Diode to insure polarity? Etc.
