The best place to connect it is in the original location. You can use a Tee and

dual switch/sender which does both functions separately but in one package.

Does the tee method allow enough clearance for the stock air cleaner? It's already a close call with just my stock sender... I have to bend the connecting tip down at a 90 deg. angle so the wire doesn't contact the underside of the cleaner, which leaves about 1/4 in clearance at most.

There is usually not enough room under the air cleaner for all of this, so
you'll usually need to use an elbow or find one of the OG right-angle banjo
fittings that VW installed on the dual carb engines.

A 90 deg. elbow to a tee sounds like it would do the trick. Time to take some measurements.

Thanks!
