Thanks very much for the list of items to examine. I think that I've  
got it all down now, although I could not navigate Toby' site. It's  
is funny what I found as I looked through the box, well boxes of  
stuff that I have accumulated. I have a clock where someone removed  
the workings, kept the arms and installed a battery clock, you know  
the ones that are quire cheap. Anyhow, thanks for the advice. It's  
back to work on the Notch.
