It's the same for all years and for beetles and buses, too. Type 4s may also use the same one, I'm not sure, but any FLAPS should be able to sell you one. OTOH, if it really just responds to the brakes, I'd inspect the wiring to yours. It sounds like the insulation has chafed thru somewhere and is shorting to ground when you brake.
