Got the tranny and suspension out of the 65.... Hmm, this tranny was
originally painted black, I know the later ones werent but the early? I
also noticed some Yellow paint on the bottom... some VW mark for something?
Starter is a reman Bosch... which goes along well with the delivery van
story and the worn out flywheel. Rest looks OK, body is still structurally
sound but boy! I can only imagine how much nicer this car would be now if
its clutch or brake line hadnt failed in the middle of the winter... leaving
it covered with salt for a long time thereafter!
