BTW, Volks, when asking questions be sure to state the year of your car at the very least, model would be nice (Notch, Fasty, Squareback). Some times it does make a difference!

Yes, it's important to understand that the parking brake stuff very seldom needs adjustment. If the lever just comes up too high, that's almost always a sign that the rear brakes need to be adjusted...
