I was searching the list archive for some advice on dealing with rust and found the following statement from 1997: "Before you put the primer on put fiberglass resin over the rust. The resin will seal it better than any primer. After it dries you will need to sand it down flush." Has anyone tried sealing bare metal with fiberglass resin under primer?
