The full flow oil pump cover only works with a pump which has had it's outlet 
port blocked. If you don't want to use the full flow filter, then you will have 
to remove the pump and remove the plug that is installed in it.

OTOH, the full flow filter is probably THE most useful item that you can add to 
your engine, so I would recommend that you go ahead and use it.
