That will make a huge difference.  If the engine had a
full flow pump cover, then there is most likely a plug
installed in the case where the oil would normally
exit the pump.  Do you have a return taped into the
main oil galley?  I think you should remove the whole
pump and see what you've got in there.  -Bill
