Sounds right. Just make sure that both carbs are being fed from the same point on the regulator. Unless you are still using the FI fuel pump, I don't know why you would even need the regulator. > Before it got dark (only had a half hour of time out there) I tried just > pumping the left carb to see if it was getting fuel. It is. I assume that you were verifying that the throttle pump actually squirted gas. That's good to know, but it's still possible that some other jet or passage is clogged. > I wasn't able to get a socket to fit over the plugs to pull them for a color > check. Either my sockets are too thick-walled or I've got to pull the covers > for access? You should not have to pull the covers, a standard spark plug socket will fit thru the openings. It needs to be a SP socket, a normal socket won't be deep enough, and the SP socket has something in it to keep from damaging the insulator, and to hold on to the spark plug. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
