[T3] relocating

Last night I moved all the VWs to the new domicile. 4 moved under their own power, and 3 were tow'd the 11 miles to their new home. I was able to drive the 64 Notch, 64 Speedster Notch, 71 Squareback and the 67 Squareback.

Also, while driving the Speedster notch on the freeway, I decided to take it a bit slower to make sure my mounting method for the carbon fiber cover was okay. Anyhow, I hit the bottom of the "Roberts Mt." 6% grade climb doing 55mph and I get passed by this Neon... you know, the ones that are 'race prepped' to do a low 14 at the strip... anyway, I decide to roll through the pedal and see how the car does. At the end of the 1 mile climb i was in excess of 90mph and the Neon was well behind me So I slow back down to my 55 mph cruise speed for the desent and the Neon comes flying up behind me flashing lights, horn honking and the driver giving me the 1 finger wave... all I can figure is that once again someone got embarrassed by a VW and couldn't take it. So that was a nice end to the evening... trip in the speedster with a starry night and beautiful moon and an embarrassed Neon owner.... PRICELESS!

And the new c/f cover has done its secondary job with great efficiency... it has quieted the carb bark in my ears! I can actually hear myself think at highway cruising speed, and I could actually hear my nice mellow exhaust note!!!! Thanks again John Jaranson and the rest of the crew from the 04 Invasion for making my engine cover dream a reality.
